We at Coforge are hiring Senior Data Engineer (SAP/Accounting) (#21436) with the following skill set.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and support accounting data dynamics and functional requirements, ensuring alignment between business processes, systems, and financial workflows.
- Analyze, validate, and support end-to-end process flows, from event generation to accounting entries, ensuring consistency, traceability, and system integration accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, business stakeholders, vendors, and external teams to support accounting-related integrations and data processes.
- Participate in functional design discussions and solution definition, representing accounting-related system impacts and ensuring data integrity across integrated applications.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, systems integration, functional analysis, or related enterprise technology roles.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end business and accounting process flows, including event-to-accounting-entry traceability.
- Functional knowledge of SAP integrations including IDocs, BAPIs, RFC, file-based interfaces, and APIs.
- Experience working with enterprise systems integrations and validating functional and accounting impacts across applications.
- Ability to collaborate with application owners and technical teams to understand downstream system dependencies and accounting implications.
- Experience participating in functional design workshops, requirement analysis, and enterprise solution discussions.
- Strong understanding of data flows, system interfaces, and enterprise process integration concepts.
- Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience supporting SAP projects involving finance, accounting, or ERP-related workflows.
- Familiarity with accounting processes, financial systems, and enterprise reporting requirements.
- Experience with enterprise application integrations and cross-platform process validation.
- Exposure to enterprise transformation, modernization, or large-scale systems integration projects.
