We at Coforge are hiring Senior Software Engineer (Java/GCP/OWASP) (#18600) with the following skill set.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, Micronaut, and cloud-native technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Managers and Designers to deliver high-quality software solutions in Agile environments.
- Implement secure, performant, and maintainable software following OWASP principles, testing standards, and engineering best practices.
- Contribute to system architecture, CI/CD processes, and continuous improvement initiatives to support scalable product development.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering with strong expertise in Java-based backend development.
- Hands-on experience with Java ecosystem technologies including Spring Boot and Micronaut.
- Strong knowledge of testing frameworks such as JUnit and software quality best practices.
- Experience with build tools such as Maven and Gradle.
- Familiarity with Git/GitHub, JIRA, Confluence, and CI/CD tools such as CircleCI.
- Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or iterative software development environments.
- Strong understanding of backend system architecture, APIs, and scalable software design principles.
- Knowledge of secure coding practices and application security principles aligned with OWASP standards.
- Strong analytical, collaboration, time management, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with GCP and cloud-native architectures.
- Familiarity with payment gateway integrations such as Stripe, PayPal, Adyen, or Square.
- Knowledge of e-commerce workflows including checkout, subscriptions, and order management.
- Experience designing and implementing microservices-based architectures.
