About the Role
The UX Design Lead will serve as the architectural backbone for the user experience across client's ecosystem, driving the UX/UI development of customer-facing applications, corporate applications, and global portals. This role bridges the gap between sophisticated design paradigms and front-end engineering, heavily leveraging modern responsive frameworks and cutting-edge, AI-based design tools to accelerate wireframing, component generation, and rapid prototyping. You will collaborate deeply with product and engineering teams to ensure design choices seamlessly map to functional code while optimizing for performance, browser compatibility, and internationalization.
This role is critical to transforming data-heavy information and self-service resources into seamless, intuitive, and highly accessible digital products. As a senior leader, you will own the end-to-end design strategy, ensuring that user-centricity is maintained throughout project execution. By anchoring the fusion of design and front-end feasibility, your work will directly elevate product usability and accelerate time-to-market for our global audience.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and Anchor the overall UX/UI strategy, thought leadership, and execution for applications, customer portals, and employee portals.
-
Design and Build scalable web interfaces and design systems, establishing CSS/styling standards and component library selections across React, Blazor, and Bootstrap.
-
Own the user research and discovery process by analyzing target audiences, business goals, and technical limitations to architect sitemaps, user task flows, and navigational structures.
-
Accelerate the design lifecycle by utilizing AI-augmented workflows and advanced prototyping tools (Figma AI, Claude Design) to deliver high-fidelity mockups and rapid graphical prototypes.
-
Champion accessibility and inclusivity across all platforms, leveraging Section 508 compliance knowledge and usability heuristics during design reviews and testing.
-
Collaborate directly with engineering teams to troubleshoot complex UI problems, ensuring smooth translation of design systems into production-ready front-end code.
Requirements
-
5+ years of professional UX/UI design experience, ideally within complex, data-heavy, or enterprise-level applications.
-
Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken) with excellent communication skills to articulate design decisions to both technical and business stakeholders.
-
Strong Portfolio or GitHub repository demonstrating a history of launching intuitive user interfaces and sophisticated interaction design.
-
Tech Stack Mastery: Deep hands-on experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern UI frameworks/libraries such as React, Blazor, and Bootstrap.
-
AI Tool Fluent: Proven comfort and efficiency integrating AI-based design tools (Figma AI, Claude Design, or similar) into daily wireframing and prototyping workflows.
-
Ownership Mindset: Demonstrated strong judgment, decision-making ability, and a proactive approach to solving ambiguous design and front-end engineering challenges.
-
Educational Background: Degree or equivalent practical experience in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, Graphic Design, or Visual Communications.
Nice to Have
-
Experience designing for Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) or highly regulated compliance platforms.
-
Advanced front-end development skills with deep knowledge of browser rendering optimization and state management in React.
-
Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and enterprise product management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
-
Experience conducting automated usability testing and continuous user feedback loops at scale.
